sasuke’s and jugo’s relationship received lot of diservice in the anime/manga
original Naruto:

Juugo: Sasuke!!! Sasuke it’s so good to see you… so uh… I’m back to being the servant of the guy who tricked me into believing he was going to cure me but instead used my curse to curse many many many more people and kill potentially thousands… also there’s no evidence that my rages were cured so I’m probably still regularly killing people because you’re the only one who can stop me… but how are you?
