lectorel:

Yoko would definitely quote Pratchett to people (and probably end up telling the Iwa!Uchiha all the stories. Generations will fall in love with ‘Vimes-ojjisan’ and stand in absolute terrified awe of ‘Vetinari-sama’.)

‘and that’s how Vimes-ojisan arrested two separate armies. If he can do that, you can do anything you set your mind to.’

Headcanon: If anyone ever asks Yoko ‘What is best in life?’ They’ll bite back on their immediate impulse to answer “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women” and instead respond with something like “Hot water, good dentistry and soft toilet paper.” (Yes, I am a Discworld fan.)

lectorel:

‘Reasonably priced love and a hard-boiled egg’ may also make it in there. (I am too.)

Whoooo! Uchiha Yoko is coming back! you have no idea how many times I have reread and reread everything you’ve written in that verse

lectorel:

Holy hell, I am still shocked by the fact that people are interested in this verse. I’m glad you’re so enthused. In honor of my fic meta day, Yoko verse meta:

The Uchiha Yoko verse’s Deidara v. Itachi fight goes a hell of a lot different than in canon. Yoko!Deidara has spent about 4 years sparring with a sharingan user – one who learned most of their tricks from Shisui and Itachi. That illusion trick Itachi pulled in canon?

Yeah, no. Yoko tries that bullshit at the start of every single spar. Deidara would have to be half-dead to fall for that.

On the other hand, seeing the man who ruined Yoko’s life does throw him a bit. Deidara doesn’t know the whole story about the massacre. He knows Yoko had advanced warning about the massacre, somehow. He knows Yoko loves (present tense, not past) Itachi, and misses their cousin desperately, even though they’re terrified of him.

Yoko: Itachi – He had his reasons. They’re not good enough.

Deidara: But…?

Yoko: But I understand them. It wasn’t the only thing that could be done. But it was the only thing Itachi could do. He was – fragile.

Basically, Deidara wants Itachi’s head on a pike. His loyalty to Iwa is gone. But he’s sure as hell not selling out Yoko. If he’s getting stuck in the Akatsuki, he’s a least going to make the traitor’s life a living hell.
