If Bismuth is a very skilled blacksmith and Peridot can control metal and has serious tech skills, I wonder if they’ll team up to make weapons and such? Perhaps some giant mechs? That’d be really freaking cool.
I honestly think if they ever fused, the fusion would only be a bit better at battle than Bismuth with Peri’s powers, but she would be the QUEEN of inventions.
Need to repair a huge spaceship in freefall? She’s got this.
Invent some highly specific device? She’s got this.
Giant robot? ALL OVER IT.
Assistance in fighting a powerful foe? Well, she’ll do her best and be down for it, but she’d really be better at making a sick weapon for you to use against them.
She didn’t forget her ideologies, she didn’t suddenly have a change of heart. She just learned the consequences of what ‘shattering’ a diamond did. ‘Shattering’ Pink didn’t liberate the Crystal Gems, it doomed them to corruption. Knowing that that would’ve probably end up happening if Bismuth had used the Breaking Point maybe put things in perspective for her. I hope that with Bismuth now, the CGs are more invested in actively trying to fix corruption, especially with the knowledge there’s a Diamond among them now.
I also have to wonder, did Bismuth’s actions lead to Pink shattering herself. Did Pink realize that maybe Bismuth had a point and that shattering a diamond would scare Homeworld, and seeing as she was a Diamond herself, she had more than the means to do it?
I hope Connie knows she’s going to get literally the best wedding, like, even if her inlaws will be giant world-conquering space ladies
