So apparently I have a thing for aliens having moments where this weird human cultural thing involving rings from their girlfriends suddenly clicks? This was supposed to be a quick doodle just to get it out, but I ended up doing some basic color. I almost made full-blown illustrations for the whole thing before I forced myself to stop.
my entry for the comic contest. this took exactly one month to make, from start to finish, and it’s marked an accomplishment i didn’t think i could do; finished a comic. and i’m so glad i did. i’m so freaking proud of this thing.
i hope you all enjoy my fresh hot take on troll call and hiveswap. oh! and, i chose all trolls designed by Shelby Cragg, since she was the ‘Calliope Artist’ in the original comic, and I thought it’d be fitting.
