So here’s a shot of the retainers we know were sent to the future. From right to left. Kiku, Kanjuro, Kin’emon, Raizo, and a mystery fifth person

And the fifth person is again shown (no face shown thanks to the kasa they are wearing) bowing to Lady Toki along with the rest of the retainers

And yet when Raizo, Kanjuro, Kin’emon, Kiku, and Momonosuke appear in Wano 20 years later, the fifth retainer is absent

Now here’s my thought. The fifth retainer was also sent forward but not as far as the others. The Kozuki siblings were split up. Lady Toki wouldn’t put Hiyori through a fiery death at such a young age. Not when she could also send her to the future like Momonosuke.

Lady Toki sent Hiyori to the future alongside the fifth retainer who I believe is Tenguyama Hitetsu.

When he learned who Luffy was he stated to be waiting for someone

I believe he’s waiting for the prophecy of the 9 scabbards or some separate order he received from Lady Toki.

Or maybe he’s waiting for orders from Kin’emon.

Who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯

PS-If you want to see who I believe Hiyori is, see this post.

chance4choice:

Kozuki Toki, Lady of the Kozuki Family and Wife of Kozuki Oden

She’s the one who sent Kin’emon, Momonosuke, Raizo, Kanjuro, and Kiku to the future using the Toki Toki no mi as she did to herself. (When the fuck was she born originally? Void Century??)

I find the lack of ability to go backwards in time a great way to keep this fruit from being OP. It keeps it more along the lines of a curse or magic like the abilities of Kin’emon, Kanjuro, and Tama.

The only thing that sounds really messed up is the possibility that she didn’t send her daughter Hiyori to the future separately (I have ideas about that 👀) and let her die alongside herself in the fire.

Orochi You Bastard

Absinthe: This guy is just as much of a bastard as Kaido. He portrays himself as a hero, while stuffing the heads of young one’s with filth.

Mun: This is really again tapping into a disturbing part of Japanese history which is propaganda fed to young children to promote nationalism. Although this is based on Japan’s isolation period, the indoctrinated material is very much based on Japan’s imperial period during World War 2. And given how some right wing in Japan have been critical of any criticisms towards their country’s actions during that time, I do say it is a ballsy move on Oda’s part if he was taking a pot shot at at that part of his country’s history.

Also Orochi can rot in the underworld. Everything about this country is the opposite of peaceful, I wonder if those kids even see outside the capital to find out how their country is being overrun with pollution.
