im mad bc i think narutos storyline got done almost as dirty as sasukes. its just so disrespectful to his character. he grew up in a village that hated him, neglected him, feared him, and wanted nothing to do with him. but he still constantly strived for and tried to prove to them that he was worthwhile and that he mattered and that he deserved love and empathy! and the village doesnt acknowledge his humanity until he protects them and serves a purpose and im glad naruto gets that recognition but that genuinely isnt enough for me. they dont only need to see him as a potential hokage, they need to see that he was always human and that he was always good and that he always always deserved their love because he was a child! he was a child who did nothing wrong and had nothing to prove.
i just really wish we got to see a more in depth look at naruto and his feelings on this. i loooove the part where naruto meets dark naruto and accepts his own hatred, but its such a fleeting moment and never explored enough
he has that hurt and he has that pain and he takes it all into himself and i think thats a good moment but it never actually holds the village accountable for their actions. i really really wish we got to see more of this and see him and sasuke actually talk about this at length bc they were both so hurt by the village. they were both neglected and rejected and turned into monsters without their consent and that dehumanization and hatred turned against them is something they can deeply relate to each other about but naruto never gets an opportunity to actually feel that hurt and vocalize it to the ones that abused him

despite trying really hard in school his teachers assume hes goofing off and not giving his all
responds to this by pretending that his genuine attempts are jokes and becomes the class clown
actually literally does have physical barriers that prevent him from learning in the same way. ie the nine tail foxes huge storage of chakra fucks up his ability to control this and his teachers KNOW this but offer him NO solutions
responds well to positive reinforcement and extra attention
has trouble with verbal or written direction and prefers to learn things through doing
responds best to directions given to him when they relate it to an emotional response or one of his interests (ie ramen or sasuke)
compensates for his inability to do tasks his classmates cant by finding work arounds of it such as using his shadow clones jutsu in new and creative ways
