PASSIONATE! that does include his anger imo but it’s relevant that it always comes from a place of deep, powerful emotion imo. he’s consumed by his goals, and by his love for people (which terrifies him) and his grief for those he’s loved. he feels a lot whether he likes that or not and it effects everything he does and i love him
Uh, no. I loathe Itachi, and Shisui is a beautiful dorky cinnamon roll who needs to be protected and not rip out his eyes. I can tolerate reading them together if Shisui is well-written, but I’d much rather ship Shisui with Kakashi or Tenzo or eternal happiness.
Impulse, when I realized that it felt like the truthful turn of events. I hadn’t planned on it. I was just in Orochimaru’s headspace as Anko got in the way of his carefully planned test scenario. If Anko was there, team 7 was going to be extracted. So Sakura, who in canon was spared only to keep Sasuke alive until he could be tested, had suddenly become redundant. Orochimaru was irritated and he swatted a fly, because he is petty when thwarted.
He had a recipe book for fish? And he is a freaking good cook, it’s official…at the age of 5. I assume he is five years old because this is when Kakashi lost his dad but was still in the academy….but damn.

not an intrusion at all! Yeah, they’re dropped threads, I guess. Like the author decided he wasn’t interested in the over-arcing theme that had required those bits and then just… never did anything with it. I know I did plenty of that in Vapors, every once in a while I tell myself that I’m going to edit it and then I look at it and… hmm. Maybe nEVER.
