Sometimes, but what’s really difficult to hide are cute thoughts about each other at inconvenient times. That’s okay though, they can turn very convenient when properly channeled.
Konoha and Suna being at war with each other is the situation in which we first became friends. And as Kages, negotiating mutually beneficial compromises out of our villages’ sometimes opposing interests is what we do. So far we’ve been fine.
We didn’t know how to do that when Gaara still had Shukaku. But we did talk about them a lot and they must have heard at least most of that, maybe that’s almost like having them meet.
