You kiddos have no idea how groundbreaking this was. Like there’s a reason THE lesbian website for a billion years was called After Ellen. She changed everything.

oh man you know that feeling that’s like kind of an ache right between your heart and your stomach? like nostalgic knowing of pain? that’s how the scared look in Ellen’s eyes makes me feel.

Look at her hand too and how nervous she is. Every gay and lesbian person knows this feeling, because we know there are assumptions and consequences and there’s no telling how someone will react.

And let no one forget that she suffered consequences for this. It wasn’t just a moment of cathartic unburdening and then business as usual.

Right, she lost her first TV show. She worked hard to get up to where she is today.

Ellen lost her TV show and didn’t get offered another job for the next 3 years. All while facing harsh critic from most of the world. Not to mention that Oprah, who immediately said yes to playing her therapist in this episode, got her own fair share of disrespectful and mostly racist comments. All over this one episode on a sitcom. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that over 40 million people watched this episode to see the first openly gay character on television.

This is history and it better fucking be in the history books for next generations.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is one of the many reasons why many europeans don’t have many children anymore, have become weak and are now (sadly, I really must say) dying out.
It’s this kind of mentally sick propaganda, the kind of propaganda which says that it’s OK for a man to act like a woman and for a woman to act like a man.

The kind of destructive propaganda and teachings that are nowhere to be found outside of Europe & America and which are destroying the natural order and healthy family our nature originally had in mind.

What a sick world. But that’s Tumblr for you I guess and karma will come back to all of us soon enough, without exception.

I’m aware of the fact that the chances of changing your mind are very slim so this response is for my fellow LGBTQ+ people who sometimes doubt that their feelings are real and fear that they’re imagining it or just following a trend.

LGBT people exist everywhere.

LGBT people have always existed.

Animals can be gay too

There’s  a lot evidence for homosexuality in the animal kingdom. Hundreds and thousands of species show homosexual behavior. Some gay animal couples take care of the babies straight couples have abandoned for some reason.

Being gay is normal. Being gay is natural. Being gay is healthy.

The Trump Administration is trying to define us trans folk out of existence- but we DO exist, we HAVE existed, and we sure as hell will CONTINUE to exist! Please, make sure you get out and vote, bring attention to trans voices, and support us wherever you can!

Our civil rights are at stake- by their own words, they believe inclusive policies “wrongfully extend civil rights protections to people who should not have them.” Please read this article on the proposed revision of the legal definition of gender!

ngl, i support your cause on this, but doesn’t like

like even if this passes, doesn’t that mean nothing changes?

y’all can still identify as whatever you wanna identify as

Not that simple.

Entertainment Weekly just did an interview with Rebecca Sugar on her work on SU and it’s a fucking emotional read. She details everything she’s done, the struggles she’s faced, basically everything that stood between her and getting every single piece of rep onscreen for us to enjoy. It makes me appreciate Steven Universe a lot more.

And subsequently it makes me even angrier at Voltron for fucking up so, so badly in this regard.

Throughout the entirety of production Rebecca and the crew works their fucking asses off to get their vision approved, to get their story out there, to make little kids inspired and feel comfortable and optimistic about themselves in an increasingly difficult and depressing world. Fuck, she was willing to lose the show if she didn’t get to tell the story the way she wanted it to because she felt it would be unfair to her audience.

It really makes you think about how hard she’s working to tell her story.

Meanwhile what did Voltron do? Announce Shiro as gay at a comic con panel, and tell us that he had a fiancee named Adam and that we were gonna meet them in season 7, and their relationship would be developed. They hyped it up like crazy. Now, in and of itself that’s not a bad concept! Despite my reservations about Voltron, I was actually excited to see what they would do with this. But, as we found out this weekend, that didn’t exactly… happen.

To put things into perspective, there’s a cow in Voltron that got more screentime than Adam. Adam and Shiro shared one scene together, and they fought in it! Then they fucking killed Adam. A+ representation. You could’ve literally written them as friends and it wouldn’t have changed a thing. (In fact, they did. Because of course.)

Fact of the matter is, Voltron did not care. They used their audience to boost their ratings, lied about their rep, and tried to put the blame on their audience when confronted about it.

Because this is the type of crew you want in charge of LGBT rep, right?

And this is already infuriating enough on its own, but when stuff like this interview with Rebecca Sugar comes out and you learn how much she risks, how hard she works, how much she cares about doing this right and making people feel secure about themselves, it just makes me even angrier at the people who clearly do it just for points, at the people who don’t care about their audience, at the people who just want to brag about how inclusive they are.

In conclusion, stan Rebecca Sugar and fuck Voltron for ever thinking that was a good idea.

This is the greatest progression of events I have ever read, where’s my historical gay romance novel about this

KING JAMES, CAN YOU CHILL?

Local King Cannot Stop Promoting His Boyfriend

where’s the lush period drama about this series of events?

fun thing about king James, this guy was fairly public about his bf (more public than what was acceptable). He threw lots of extravagant parties with his man on his arm. It pissed off the church obviously so to get them off his back, he’s the one that ordered the third translation of the Bible from Hebrew to English (the King James Version aka the Authorized Version) so the Bible every hot blooded all American Christian reads today was literally just written so a very gay king could fuck his boyfriend in peace.

oh my god this is hilarious

“guys, guys. I know this looks kinda gay, and i promise i have a good explanation for all this, but have you considered… that jesus… is also gay? checkmate, heteros.”
