Y’know the recent events in DOS and CYB have made me appreciate Isobu SO MUCH. Kei will Always have Isobu no matter what, Shikako has no one. Fictional universes i know, but i still wish a portal could somehow open between the two AUs so Kei could, i don’t know, hold Shikako’s hand or give a hug or even just a shoulder to lean on. (I am so invested).

I doubt Shikako would be as receptive as you think, since she is training to be ANBU–and by the end of the most recent chapter is actually an ANBU rookie. Yes, she probably needs more confidants, but she has Sasuke.

Kei’s a stranger, though she’s aware enough of Shikako’s story to probably be kind of eerie. It probably wouldn’t go over well.

Hi! I know you mentioned homestuck a really long time ago on this blog, but if Kei, Obito, Kakashi and Rin had a SBURB session, who would be the leader and how would it end?

Actually, I think I’d have to make Obito an Heir of Space or something to complete the basic SBURB set because of the way that reality-destroying game works. Everyone needs a Space and a Time player unless you’re the Alpha kids, but their game was borked.

So, I think Obito would be the session leader for the most part, with Kei and Kakashi as major advisors because they’re both seers of a sort. And then Rin as the one making sure they don’t all die of the requisite SBURB-based chicanery.

They’d fight their way through everything, win the Game, and then probably become gods of the new world. You know, the usual. :p

FUN FACT ABOUT HOMESTUCK: It’s all done with a severely limited palette.

So, I stuck a tiny image in the corner for color references for a Seer of Time and then went to town really, really fast. I started at 9, ended at 11. In the evening.

AnonAsks: I love the fact that your OC isn’t madly in love with Kakashi right off the bat. (It isn’t meant to be mean in any way) I’m sure if it was me I’d be giggling like Jiraya at the onsen I love that’s she’s a person who’s figuring things out at her own pace.

Pretty sure these are all you, so I’m putting them all together.

I’m pretty sure Kei’s slow start to romance was a major factor in it coming across as realistic, as silly as that may sound. I had a lot of time to develop her and Kakashi as friends first, and even now their lives don’t fully revolve around each other. It sort of lets them be full people on their own standing, you know?

I’m also really glad you like Miyako. I figured when people reacted well enough to her short story that she’d be all right. Even if said story was essentially a posthumous flashback.

Gai is just great, isn’t he?

Kei has a lot of time to mess with outfit changes after reuniting with the Whitebeard Pirates in Ocean Stars Falling, which results in the hand-me-down jacket meeting a terrible fate: being recut and stitched to make a more haori-like configuration to meet Izo’s expectations.

And of course Kei managed to find belts, equipment pouches, and a second pair of pants. (Her hair keeps getting worse in the salty air.)

She can still look like a hobo when she chooses, but not when Izo is controlling the wardrobe.
