LOU IM SCREAMING THANK YOU I know my shit gets very metaphysical sometimes and I make a lot of references that aren’t in the comic (like Laika and now probably The Little Prince) but Jade is the most important character in homestuck and we all have to be better by her

That caption hits hard. When I think Laika + Jade parrels I think sacrifice, isolation and lack of agency. How often Jade gets cast off on her own by powers beyond her control. It especially brings to mind the timeline where jade got stuck on the ship without john or dave sprite, which is where I see this taking place. Maybe after successfully distracting herself for awhile she sees her face in the mirror and suddenly is reminded how long it been since she saw a face other than her own?
