Why do trunk stans gets so hung up over Steve calling Wanda a kid but they completely ignore the fact that the only reason Steve said that was in response to turkey stuffing calling her a weapon of mass destruction?
Or is it because they too see Wanda as only a wmd? They demonize the fuck out of her so I wouldn’t be surprised.
I’d also like to know why Tony reacting badly after seeing his parents murdered by Bucky is bad, but it’s okay for Wanda’s father to go on violent rampages and hurt/kill innocent bystanders because…angst.

One of the things that never fails to PISS ME OFF about MCU fandom is how nobody ever addresses how fucking UNFAIR all of this is to Steve himself!
Steve didn’t make Howard act like a douchewad; Steve didn’t seduce him, or court his favor, or do anything to try and get Howard to put him onto such a high pedestal that Tony would spend legitimate effort trying to knock Steve off it every time he’s in an insecure mood.
No, Steve fought a war, in the best way he knew how, and if that included dying, then fine, it included dying. He doesn’t deserve Tony whacking him over the head with Howard’s failings as a dad every time he turns around. That was never Steve’s fault, but Tony never lets him forget about it either.
As a parent I get especially angry about this. Because by pinning blame on Steve, who is 100% without fault in this scenario, they’re excusing Howard’s shitty parenting and culpability. And that’s disturbing.
Steve is not responsible for Howard’s issues.

If one truly believes in accountability and they want to be accountable for their actions, then part of accountability is not creating or accepting excuses.
Not only isn’t Steve responsible for Howard’s behavior and Howard’s weird Steve fixation, Steve isn’t AWARE of it. Steve comes out of the ice remembering Howard as merely a friend. For Steve all of Tony’s resentment and hostility comes out of left field.
Maybe Tony telling Steve he grew up hating Steve at least was the dawning of understanding.

Worst thing Tony has done to Steve – On finding out that Hydra used Steve’s brainwashed best friend to kill his parents 25 years ago, he straight up tried to murder the friend. Tony knew the guy was innocent but refused to stop his murder rampage. He also tried to beat the shit out of Steve when Steve objected to this.
Worst thing Thor has done to Tony – Picked him up by his neck and then dropped him back on the ground without hurting him when Tony broke his promise to Thor and fucked with a sceptre that had already caused Thor a lot of grief and trouble.
Worst thing Tony has done to Thor – Promised Thor that he wouldn’t fuck around with the sceptre just to get Thor’s permission to study it. Then fucked around with the sceptre and created a murder bot. Murder bot then ran off with the sceptre. Tony refused to show any repentance for fucking around or breaking his promise. Instead he berated Thor for not getting why an AI earth monitor would be a good idea.
Worst thing Natasha has done to Tony – infiltrated his company to evaluate him for an initiative as part of her job and, in her unbiased professional opinion, found him wanting.
Worst thing Tony has done to Natasha – Implied she couldn’t be anything but a two faced traitor. Because she dared to let go of her ego and trust their friends enough to believe them when they said there was a bigger threat they needed to get to.
Worst thing Clint has done to Tony – Called Tony a back-stabber. While this was undoubtedly a cruel jibe in light of what happened to Rhodey, it was said in reaction to the worst thing Tony has done to him, and carried no real consequence to anyone. Unlike what Tony did to Clint (see below).
Worst thing Tony has done to Clint – disclosed the existence of Clint’s family (that Clint had gone to great lengths to protect by keeping secret) to Ross and his lackeys because he was feeling butthurt. Then left Clint to rot in illegal detention for attempting to commit a crime that Tony went on to successfully commit. After Tony had played a major part in Clint ending up in illegal detention to begin with.
Worst thing Bruce has done to Tony – Literally nothing.
Worst thing Tony has done to Bruce – Persuaded Bruce to help him fuck with the sceptre and create an AI world monitor. Steam rolled over Bruce’s reservations and concerns. When this inevitably went south and Bruce, who was struggling with enough guilt as it was, tried to acknowledge that they had fucked up and created a ‘murder bot’, turned on Bruce and called him a coward.

Writing stony BUT with Steve as the biggest asshole Earth has ever encountered
Excellent list. If I may just add a few (cause I got this exact ask and your list pretty much sums it up so I hope this is ok) –
11. Aunt Peggy yells at Steve/Aunt Peggy’s death hurt Tony way more than it did Steve because she practically raised him and Steve’s an asshole for not telling Tony about it (you’d think if Tony actually had any idea who she was he wouldn’t have needed to hear the news from Steve but anyway)
12. Tony is really involved in establishing the new order (while he hypocritically never reveals his own violation) under the Accords and is doing good productive work while Steve is sad and lonely.
13. Tony is forever traumatised by his murder attempt. He can’t look at Steve, can’t be in the same room as Steve because Steve’s mere presence triggers flashbacks of Tony’s traumatic murder rampage.
14. Steve and Tony were in a relationship before CW. Except the author makes it so only Tony’s actions and words towards Steve change as a result of this very crucial change in the story. Not Steve’s. So they can make Steve look like a cold, distant douchebag.
15. Steve keeps getting defensive about Howard Stark even though it causes Tony, Howard’s abused and mistreated son, great pain and anguish.
16. Wanda is teh Ebil.
17. Sam lost his free will when it came to friendships after Riley fell…because that makes sense somehow.
