I feel like Trizza’s going to be a pretty interesting antagonist. She’s obviously doing some horrifying things, but she’s also an heiress. From the day she was hatched, she’s known that as soon as she reaches adulthood, the only other person like her will cut her down without batting an eye. She actually has a shorter life expectancy than even redbloods. I honestly doubt she has any real evil intentions beyond just wanting to burn down as much of the world as she can while she’s still here. It doesn’t excuse her actions by any means, but it makes her much more of a wild card, closer to a Jack than a Caliborn.
Ironically, this probably makes her a pretty good heiress to )(IC, but not in the way people might expect. She probably doesn’t have any real loyalty to the Empire, but plays a similar role to ICP in homestuck. By the time trolls get off planet, they’re so used to dealing with completely unpredictable heiresses trying to get as much enjoyment as they can before their untimely demise, it’s a relief to finally have a leader to follow that actually has clear goals and strategies.
