I just realized: In the flashback where Gil is all debauched, that’s BANG with him.  Now, admittedly, Bangladesh Dupree is a hedonistic mess, but for me, that gives the whole scene a very different and much more scripted feel. *loud shrugging*

I don’t really get “scripted” so much as “Gil is incapable of noticing when Bang is partially naked”.

…I think he looked away with an irritated expression when she literally took her  pants off in the same room as him once. Otherwise? Sleeping in the same bed in underwear and helping button up time-suits over her naked breasts with no reaction whatever.

Gil may be trying to shock Tarvek. Or he may just be hanging out in a bar and it’s really not what it looks like.

Gil doing homework in the most inconvenient/unlikely situations is a thought I have always enjoyed, tbh.

I used to think I was firmly on board the HMS Agatha/Gil.
