ultra privileged kid who never has parents home and lots of credit cards. gets caught up in a plot for some kind of mass murder spree/school shooting/etc and is subsequently arrested. could’ve easily gotten out of a prison sentencing but then admits to even more organized crime and also assaults an ex gf to the point where she needs serious hospitalization. probably turns to religion in prison and says shit like “well i found jesus so like, i’m free of sin”. all and all a piece of shit

when it comes down to it i really don’t blame gamzee’s friends (and future murder victims!) for ignoring him pre SGRUB bc the most irl equivalent of his behavior is “jehovah’s witness who can’t stop talking about his religious fixation, despite the fact that it’s known that his cult is super fucking weird and also terrible”. like…imagine it. you’re in your hive and your lusus is out getting dinner, and you get a knock at your door. it’s gamzee. he’s here to tell you about The Lord. you politely decline and say that you’re troll jewish. he continues with even more gusto about heresy and how to let the mirthful messiahs into your bloodpusher. you close the door and he’s still there, waiting, some pamphlets about teen depression and how the real cure is the MIRTHFUL MESSIAHS.

listen gamzee is a GREAT villain and antagonist but i can’t stan him knowing that he’s 1) an incarnate of evil 2) chooses actively to BE evil and become his true self by dooming timelines and absorbing himself over and over again and 3) also c’mon!!! [s] game over gamzee was literally abusing his girlfriend, by choice! cal was an influence in the sense that he showed him what he could be, and gamzee took it!!!!
meanwhile vriska is a character who was fucked over by her society and was being constantly psychologically and physically (and in the case of doc scratch, sexually) abused by her guardians, forced to murder other children in order to save her own ass, and then yknow, was manipulated by the dude who had caused her species to become exceedingly violent and Never Had A Chance To Succeed.
but upon entering SGRUB, gamzee (who had a good childhood tbh and SUPER great status) and vriska (who yknow. had the shittiest upbringing of any of the trolls) both lost alternia and what it meant to them, which was simultaneously freeing & healing (vriska) and a cause for new power & destruction (gamzee).
