y’all. she’s a mechanic. she’s considered one of the best automail mechanics in Rush Valley – THE place for automail mechanics – at age 15

like trust me I could go off about how great Winry Rockbell is and there’s way more reasons than that but literally on just the surface level she is a female mechanic kicking ass in what’s usually considered a male-dominated field and she doesn’t have to be a tomboy or masculine to do so. she works with machines and grease and tools all day and then wears pretty dresses and skirts and likes jewelry and cute things and that’s fantastic because hell yeah women can work in male-dominated fields and still be feminine! and there’s no typical “oh yeah I learned bc I have five older brothers” bullshit, either, like she learned from her grandmother who is ALSO a badass female mechanic

I mean there’s so much more too, but like. that alone guys.
