I feel like I’ve posted this before, but what the hell.
One note to clear up: in my mind, daemons do have quirks, but their quirks don’t manifest until they settle. That way, quirks that affect the physical body do appear on their settled forms; for example, Iida’s daemon has engines on her hind legs. Hagakure’s daemon is visible until he settles, at which point he vanishes and no one actually knows what he is.
I have a full list of BNHA characters and what their daemons would be. I have canon Izuku as a wolf (family-oriented animal, good with strategy and collaboration). I think YUTS Deku would either also be a wolf, or he’d have some kind of carrion corvid like a raven.
I kinda like that, actually. A raven works pretty well for him: good problem-solver that can collaborate with others (even other species), association with death that gives them an unsettling reputation, but nonetheless playful, intelligent, and devoted to family.
Going by His Dark Materials canon, actually, ghosts do not keep their daemons. But that’s not important because i haven’t given it much thought, and I kind of don’t want to.
But! As for the daemons of people who are now ghosts:
Rei died as a child, before her daemon would have settled. But in a hypothetical YUTSwap daemon AU, they would have settled as a fox.
Hino’s daemon would beeee… either some kind of corvid or some kind of mustelid, like a weasel.
And Nana’s would be a bird of prey. Maybe a kestrel.

hibari– hedgehog. –> can i just. im crying. this is the number one most compelling argument that ive ever seen for tsundere hibari and i dont evn like tsunhibari. and apparently hog spikes go both ways so if you push it hurts??? im just. give me five hundred thousand words of this please i just

I guess it depends on what kind of drunk you are! I often get paranoid when I smoke weed (thus why I don’t really like it) so I imagine someone who reacts to weed like I do would have a hypervigilant dæmon, scanning around constantly for any threat. But people who have a more pleasant reaction to weed might find their dæmons giggling and rolling around! There are so many different reactions to intoxication that I can’t make any kind of blanket statement about it.
