Kushina would say that all of them are loved for different reasons, but she loves them all the same.
- Kakashi’s the one she helped raise, and she’s known him the longest.
- Kei’s the helpful one, with weird thoughts, and is the main one helping Kushina from day to day.
- Obito and Kushina have very similar personalities, so they get along very well.

So i just went through the entire blog till the very first page(love this story) and i was wondering about your describe-Kei-in-one-word post. Kakashi called Kei: anchor. Wasn’t Minato his anchor? Like that’s a pretty big thing to call Kei. And how is Kei his anchor? And what’s Minato to him then? If you don’t mind me asking. Kakashi’s mindset is very hard to understand.
Minato occupies the slot called “Parent” or “Older Brother Figure” or “Mentor.” Or rather, all three.
The reason Kei is Kakashi’s “Anchor” is because the term can be used two ways. Both as a point of stability–what with Obito having vanished after Kannabi and Rin not actually being on their team–and as an occasional dead weight that might be considered holding him back.
Such is love.

People think that because he looks like Minato that Naruto takes after him the most. Nope, surprise motherfucker! Naruto is a miniature Kushina, and /that’s/ what makes Konoha afraid of him.
It was really a mystery how no one seemed to connect the dots.

The CYB Hogwarts AU (that no one asked for)
Kakashi: Three-way hatstall between every House but Slytherin, because he’s intelligent, brave, and loyal, but about as ambitious as a tree sloth. Has Care of Magical Creatures and Arithmancy, but excels at Defense and Charms.
Kei: Either a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff, with Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Runes, and Divination as electives. She’s a half-pint prophet, likes animals and magical calligraphy, and is both loyal and smart but neither brave nor ambitious.
Obito: A Gryffindor-leaning Slytherin/Gryffindor hatstall. Loyal to persons but not institutions and not considered especially clever. Probably on the Quidditch team as a Beater, and has been chastised for giving the Whomping Willow ideas.
Rin: Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, with top grades in Potions and Herbology. Always ready for an emergency, but kind of wishes her friends would please stop getting into them, and keeps a bezoar under her pillow. Likely Head Girl.
