Why is your Deku black, if you don’t mind me asking?

dekumob:

i hc him as afroasian and theres actually a lot of reasons to that!

  • his hair has always reminded me of natural black hair, especially since it was described as “curly to the root”
  • theres a lot of colorism in the anime industry, as evidenced by just how pale everyone is in bnha (theres not even a handful of dark characters you can list), so i make the cast more diverse in general
  • deku is one of the main characters i doodle, so it helped me to learn to draw black features by practicing so much
  • if i can make just one person genuinely happy with my art bc of my mixed hcs, it was worth it
  • i honestly just think the darker skin looks a lot better with dekus palette like. heres some quick edits to show

izuku never getting a quirk but being a hero anyway fixes nearly all of the issues with being quirkless being a disability metaphor cause it means the story isn’t saying your disability has to be fixed (izuku getting a quirk) to achieve your dreams

getting help is okay! if izuku had aid that made it easier for him to keep up with no quirk that would’ve been okay for the metaphor to not send a bad message but as it stands its shitty because his disability is fully removed because he’s given a quirk

That might be the case, but how is that relevant to the initial suicide incitement statement? Because that seems to be what your whole opinion on Bakugo is based off of. Again, definitely a horrible thing to do, but not really abnormal for an asshole teenager.

Hi did you forget the entire backstory of he literally beat this kid up nearly every single day and used his powers to burn others and cause them physically bodily harm? There is a world of difference between someone who trolls on the internet and someone with proven intent and capability to hurt others, that does it regularly. Violence escalates. Someone who carries guns everywhere in his fists with a history of violence and interest in someone else’s death claims they are not about to murder someone.
I cannot in my right mind understand how anyone can trust someone with a history of violence and commiting violence and uncontrollable violent outbursts and interest in someone’s death with the ability to cause that death. Bakugo blames everyone else for everything and if someone died he would call it an accident. An entitled asshole with a passion for violence and the ability to commit that violence and a history of violence. That is literally the profile of murderers. Bakugo is the type of person who would kill someone. He proved it time and time again, he has the anger to do it and the ability to do it and he threatens it constantly. There is a huge difference between a bully and a bully with a gun and a history of violence. And when that bully points the gun at someone and then chases their target down with it.

You know what really Gets me is that people really want to believe Fuyumi is the one of the siblings who wasn’t traumatized and loves her father. Like, people don’t question whether Natsuo or Todoroki hate him, mostly because with them being male characters they’re allowed to express hatred for their abusive father (because we all know Horikoshi is a misogynistic bastard who thought giving a wife who was beat into submission a flower eliminated all past abuse), but with Fuyumi every single fucking panel she appears people make some discourse about her. Despite knowing that canonically, she became a teacher because of the guilt she feels over being unable to save Todoroki from their father.

Yall are fucked up when it comes to female victims of abuse.

I wanna add, even if she expressed her will to “forgive” her father in the next chapters, I want you to use the little critical thinking skills yall have to realize that It’s Bad Writing. The entire Endeavour redemption arc is. Todoroki being sad that his father almost died is OOC. Rei expressing her wish for her husband to be forgiven over a fucking flower is OOC.

If you can write 1939303 meta about the Dabi Todoroki theory and how much HE hates his father, you can show a little empathy to Fuyumi once in a while.
