Theory: Shiggy’s Quirk

Yooooo

Eri and Shiggy do have parallels too, as pointed out by S-Flo here

image
  • Same color scheme for their hair/eye colors
  • Both killed off their fathers at a young age by accident
  • Have important grandparents (Eri – Yakuza Boss, Shigaraki – Pro Hero)
  • Shigaraki’s Quirk is also probably a genetic mutation

An addition to this theory is what if white hair/red eyes is a sign that their Quirk is a mutation, kind of a side effect?

momo is the most kidnappable kid in 1a in terms of monotary value

i’m not talking ransom money her quirk is just REALLY good

i think a lot about this shit actually in a world where people manifest super powers at age 4 humans (quirks) are probably valuable commodities

like if momo wasn’t born into such an affluent family she’d probably have been at much higher risk

i remembered that post you made about toga drinking narcotics laced blood and thought since the quirk factor modifies the body to help support the quirk i figure those whose quirks involve consuming something (toga, tamaki,) probably have cast iron stomachs and some weird metabolism

lesbiangiogio:

oh yeah for sure

related but on a slightly separate note someone like mina who’s quirk involves acid production potentially has really strong gastric acid (and therefore the ability to eat things she probably shouldn’t be able to eat although if its really bad she’s gonna get sick anyway)

reason #658345 izuku is going to not just surpass katsuki but make him eat shit: izuku trained to be able to handle empowered physical blows with less blowback and has at least a mild understanding of martial combat since he’s had to change up his style to “make his quirk his own” and is way more keenly aware of his limits and how to safely balance OfA through his whole body

katsuki is very smart and even has advice for izuku’s way of fighting, but he continuously does nothing but train himself for his quirk. he gets creative with it, sure, but he still is only focused on exploding shit. and when he has to do literally anything else, he falls short. he got fairly soundly whooped during the meaningless fight when it turned to close quarters, and it took very very little addition of power for izuku to surprise him with his speed and begin to overwhelm him entirely. izuku literally only lost bc he went FUCK IT and punched kat square in the face with his dominant fucked up hand in the most predictable (but im sure VERY satisfying) move, so of course katsuki just grabbed him and pinned him with zero effort. that’s an extremely basic move.

but i esp see it in the provisional training. he can’t do shit when he can’t use his quirk. shouto is able to make all this rad shit and help others but katsuki. all he can really do quirkless is give advice, and everything i said here makes what he told that egotistical kid all the more poignant.

he spent too much time looking down on others instead of even entertaining the idea that anyone of his peers could match his power, and now he’s got a horrifically outstanding weakness and no way to make up for it. and he knows it.

I think it’s safe to assume that these panels show us both Gentle’s and La Brava’s Quirk.

I think the one that works with smoke is La Brava’s, considering the hearts on her outfit that match the smoke. We can only speculate about its exact effects, but the visuals in the second picture and how every hero seems out of commission is enough to know that it’s dangerous.

By elimination, Gentle’s Quirk would be this “super jump” Quirk. It’s interesting to note that

he apparently needs to touch the floor to use it. Also, he can take someone with him, so it might be more complicated than a simple jump. Though it wouldn’t surprise me if he could only teleport from/to places directly exposed to the sky.

its international get fucked chisaki day bc i feel like it

also i keep thinking about the ramifications of the fact that shigaraki cut the limb off with a knife for– what, dramatic effect? because that’s literally how his quirk works? it could be.

we’ve only ever seen him totally destroy things, or else nail aizawa’s elbow (aizawa, who’s quirk is erasure and could stop any possible “infection” aspect of shigaraki’s quirk, if it really “catches” on things until they’re destroyed)
