One day some shitty person is going to insult Midoriya Inko as part of their trash talk to Midoriya Izuku and Bakugou’s whole demanour will do a 180 as he runs like a little bitch to get away from the sheer devastation Izuku inflicts on the person, and the surroundings, as a result.

If Tomura hadn’t met AfO he’d have probably grown up to be an Activist/Lawyer who sued the whole Hero System and Japanese Government, and won.

Some prosecutor hired by organisations who want to maintain the status quo: What you’re doing will put hundreds of hard working heroes out of work!

Tomura (who has literally compiled evidence about how governments around the globe didn’t do shit about the violence during the rise of Quirks until citizens took it into their own hands; and then once things calmed down just shittily legalised the citizen’s solution and called it a day, instead of actually doing it’s job and building upon it and creating failsafes and checks and balances; and then had the audacity to partially privatise heroes and turn them into propaganda pieces and celebrities): Unfortunate.

Various shitbags who still believe Quirks + Hero Model > everything else: Protest. Rant about it on various news segments, and right winger channels.

Midoriya Izuku in this world, still Quirkless, star pupil of Shiketsu’s Management section (which is better than the one at UA and a little more specialised), youngest candidate to run for office and be elected, smiling as he signs the first of many laws to dismantle the Hero System on Live News: =) =) =)

AFO trying to manipulate this to his advantage so that he can keep his power: Society has always been corrupt, and I can help you change it.

Tomura and (later) Izuku already having incited a revolution, dragging the Government, All Public Infrastructure, and ultimately Society kicking and screaming into the light, and flipping AFO off at the same time as they sign the orders to launch him into space: Nah, we got this.

This is what the world needs, MORE LOVE

Imagine him coming up with the League of villians but as his testimonies as they are all Victims with evidence against the Hero System

Imagine the potential

It’s fucking beatiful

Tomura: To prove just how corrupt the Hero System truly is and how the Govt is compliant in it and encourages it I’d like to call Mr “Dabi” to the stands.

Dabi: Hi my name is actually Todoroki Touya, I’ve submitted to a DNA test to prove it. Now let me tell you how great Endeavour truly is.

Midoriya Izuku, Toga Himiko, and all the Todoroki silblings in the stands: YOU’RE DOING GREAT SWEETIE.

replied to your post “If Tomura hadn’t met AfO he’d have probably grown up to be an…”

YEAH EXACTLY one of shigaraki’s core character traits is his anti-authoritarianism and criticism of the hero system it makes no sense to me when people swap him into being a hero when they mess with his backstory like…..afo takes _advantage_ of his ideals but theyre still his ideals.

I think it’s because a lot of people just assume that AFO instilled that anti-authoritarianism and his anti-hero bias. But they forget that early inflicted childhood trauma can in fact define you a lot? So yeah we don’t know whether or not AFO engineered the incident that gave him the opportunity to pick up Tenko. But the thing is, even if he did, nobody coming to Tenko’s rescue for days, noone responding to his cries for help, is what actually created and cemented his anti-hero and anti-society in general stance.

And I don’t think any iteration of Tenko (short of a complete AU where that incident just… doesn’t… happen) will ever get over that. Even with therapy and a healthy outlet and a happy support system, it would still manifest, because he knows it could be taken away any moment with another unfortunate incident. No matter where and how well off he ends up, he’ll always consider himself one of the luckier ones. He’d probably be hyper vigilant of his situation, maybe even research that incident. And what may just have started as a child’s irrational hatred for heroes for not saving him despite the fact that heroes were supposed to save people born from trauma would eventually morph into a discontent with the current system with some real genuine thought out rationale and arguments for why it’s bad and why it doesn’t need to be changed but scrapped entirely.

[IDK maybe it’s me just projecting on Tenko. But the recent manga chapters focusing on the Hero rankings just hit home what a truly shitty fucking world BNHA actually is? Like yeah BNHA and Illegals hint at the stuff beneath the surface. But the Hero Rankings chapters really hit home, because Heroics has been turned into a weird state sanction private militia business, mixed with propaganda and celebrities. Someone stayed in the rankings because he’s got a gadget line.

And then, there’s the fact that even small time criminals are also labelled as Villains. And the fact that the whole Hero System needs a constant supply of Villains if it is to hold any merit. That reads a lot like criminalising marginalised groups and the poor and desperate because they’re the perfect scapegoats, instead of tackling the actual societal roots of Crime and what makes a Villain.]

#but fuck it bnha worldbuilding is basically punchy hero centred typical shonen morality

#yeah sure horikoshi does try and address some of it

#but a lot of it falls to the wayside

#bnha is dystopic in that sense

#hell even if afo didn’t exist it would still be dystopic

#afo simply took advantage of his quirk and intellect to manipulate society to be dystopic in HIS favour (via uncontinous)

As much as the tododeku ship is cute, imagine if hisashi midoriya and enji  todoroki were brothers. one of them doesn’t like the rest of the family so they change their name. I mean we don’t know what hisashi looks like and we don’t know much about endeavor’s family so it’s not overly ridiculous

Honestly this is one of my prime hisashi headcanons. Hisashi hates his brother and family and took the first chance he got#and yeeted himself out# Like I’m also sure the other reason he stays away is because he’s half terrified Enji will come pull inko and izuku back into the family so it’s more of a keep them safe by staying away thing (via uncontinous)

You know what I think would be an interesting idea for Midoriya Hisashi?

If he was someone who hated Quirks or just his own Quirk. Like just maybe the whole firebreathing has a blow back like how Aoyama Yuuga’s navel laser affects him. And just because Hisashi can breathe fire, even little puffs, doesn’t mean that his body came fully equipped to deal with it. Maybe the whole, Quirks fuck with our bodies hard runs in his family too.

So he hates his Quirk. Considers it a curse. Waited the first moment he could to just snap on a Quirk restraining cuff or something, so that he could live Quirkless or what he calls “free”. Devoted most of his research life to find a way to permanently nullfiy a Quirk, and how to reduce blowbacks of certain damaging Quirks. Fears throughout Inko’s pregnancy and Izuku’s early childhood that Izuku has inherited his Quirk and all it’s shitty drawbacks.

And then one day, Inko tells him that the Doctor declared Izuku Quirkless. that Izuku is declared, not cursed.

Except that’s not how Izuku sees it.

Like can you imagine if the whole father-son relationship is based on this? Izuku at one end of the spectrum: Quirkless and experiences all the bullshit that society gives Quirkless people, and Hisashi on the other end of the spectrum: a Quirk which is great but severely damages him on usage and impairs the quality of his life.
