It is very interesting! And also very close to how I interpret Ace and Sabo’s dynamic, because let’s be real here all three of the ASL brothers have Incoming Apocalypse warning tags on their anger issues. The thing is that all three of them get angry over similar issues, the only difference is that they have different triggers that release that anger. The main difference I see between them is that Ace uses his anger as a defence mechanism, Sabo nurses his anger while he gets vindictive revenge, and Luffy uses his anger as fuel to push himself past his limits.

Any way yes all three of the ASL brothers are angry little nuggets and they just encourage each other to new heights of extra but also somehow calm each other down and it’s glorious.

I wish that everytime the anime was about to catch the manga, instead of those silly fillers or what they do now that is basically add dialogue and things to canon chapters, Toei made ASL fillers. 

I mean, seriously. Like in the travel between Punk Hazard and Dressrosa. Instead of that weirdo that kidnapped Caesar… Imagine Luffy sleeping, dreaming about that time he and his brothers stole Dadan’s underwear. Or when they found the map of a treasure and spent days searching for it in the forest. Or when they sneaked in the rich part of the city because they heard that there was a play about pirates in the theater. Or when they tried to make a cake for Makino’s birthday but ended eating most of the ingredients while they were making it. Or that time Garp brought Marine uniforms and tried to dress Ace, Sabo and Luffy with them…
