hallelup:

i see your “post-s&s the ipre all live in one big house together” headcanons AND your “no actually they would enjoy their freedom and live apart but still visit” and i meet you in the middle with this:

everyone totally gets their own houses and they live in different places EXCEPT for taako and lup, who refuse to be separated after being apart for so long. thus, the taakitz-blupjeans household is established

it’s a massive fucking mansion big enough for them to simultaneously have their privacy when they need it but also be together as much as they want

and sometimes kravitz and barry will come home after a long day of work and go “ah can’t wait to lay down with my partner and relax” just to find the twins curled up asleep with each other and the Boyfriends™ have to go sleep alone

“hey krav you uh, you maybe wanna snuggle?”

“abso-fucking-lutely not, barold”

“okay okay, didn’t hurt to try asking just this once”

I really love your versions of Lucretia and the twins!! Is there any particular reason you chose those designs?

jeinu:

so i legit got this ask a near full year ago and come back to it mulling it over now and then, and i still don’t really know the answer to it!! i know with the twins, i wanted to include facial features of indigenous mexicans (specifically i went with maya peoples) and i had a few inspo-faces to draw from early on.

i also wanted to keep their hair dark (i could never picture them as blonde for some reason?) and sort of wavy or curly. writing this now, i come to the realization taako in his short hair surfer look just has my hair… so maybe i did that subconsciously lmao.

with lucretia, i first drew her in the stolen century as young!luc. i wanted her to be kind of small, wallflower-like as her personality was described, not a whole lot super eye-catching or noticeable about her. old!luc i wanted to be a lot more ornamental/regal looking, so her clothes and hairstyling got a fancier.

beyond that.. i don’t really have any insight to why i go with certain designs, the process is opaque even to me… i don’t know how i choose certain clothes or proportions or anything, a lot of time i kind of just improvise.
