So a BIG feeling I’m getting from Zou and the Mink Tribe is tradition. My guess is the Heart Pirates are staying in the forest because Bepo, for whatever reason, falls under that ruler while the Straw Hats were staying with the other ruler because Chopper was treating him, and both groups are supposed to stay in their zones, so to speak. They’re also kinda pushy on the Straw Hats needing to just accept that they do things like licking and biting and the dog Minks wanting to gnaw on Brook. I’m not sure if it’s just there for flavor or it’s going to tie into the plot, but it’s definitely the vibe I’m getting.
