I put a lot of big thoughts in this comic, about human capacity for kindness and cruelty, and our place in an indifferent world. But I also wanted to touch on the idea that even though I believe our role is to be loving, we shouldn’t always put human standards of morality onto nature. Thanks for reading!
No but guys, imagine. The Hephaestus cabin. Making tiny little robot dragon pets. Little pygmy automaton dragons. That can ride on your shoulder or on your head or around your neck. And like they keep making adjustments to them like:
They make a little aquatic one for Percy that’s waterproof and has little robo fins and won’t get crushed by the pressure at the bottom of the ocean
They make ones that run on electricity and can conduct lighting for Thalia and Jason. You can see the little spurts of electricity jumping from one part of it’s little body to the next
They make one that looks like a skeleton for Nico and one that’s covered in jewels for Hazel. They both glow in the dark the farther you go underground. Nico’s also glows when it senses spirits and Hazel’s glows when it finds shiny things (whether they’re valuable or not is of no concern to the tiny dragon)
For Reyna, they make two dragons: one made of Gold and one made of Silver. The pair are inseparable and are incredibly loyal to Reyna and also have the same lie detector ability as her dogs
There are slightly larger, still small, armored battle dragons for the Ares kids
Crafty little dragons with internal compasses who learn very very well for the Hermes kids
Dragons who are activated and then run on the magic of the Hecate kid they were made for
Solar powered dragons that are a great help in the infirmary or are quite musical for the Apollo kids
Specially made moon powered dragons that assist with hunting for the Huntresses
Dragons who help build other dragons for the Hephaestus kids
Dragons who can parrot human speech and can learn to charmspeak for Aphrodite kids
Dragons who can monitor sobriety levels and mental stability for Dionysus kids
Rainbow colored dragons who can be used as vessels for Iris Messaging for Iris kids
Dragons who get their energy from sleeping and who will sleep with Hypnos kids
Dragons that will read with Athena kids and actually learn from it, remembering things and slowly learning to communicate that info non verbally
an au where team7 as a group never existed thank god, and the story instead revolves around these kids who wander around not giving a hoot about the system and all this kerfuffle
later on they pick up sai and go on a vacation to the beach probably, sun bathing like 2000 miles away from the fifth shinobi world war
