Not that I was particularly a fan of it (it didn’t feel necessary or believable in the slightest), but what exactly didn’t you like about Deku v. Kitchen 2: Electric Bugaloo?

lesbiangiogio:

not only did it reinforce the “ah, it was mutual, they just didn’t understand each other” narrative pushed in the final fucking exam arc (SHITTY) im expected to believe that bakug0u unloading all his emotional labor onto 1zuku and beating the hell out of him is some kind of positive development (at the very least he should not have won that fight) and honestly i just. REALLY hate how every confrontation w/ bakug0u goes he just falls back on old habits and horikoshi never takes the bully-ism he wrote himself seriously urgh

one thing ive noticed with to/doba//ku shippers is that they like to frame iz//uku as in the wrong. like they cant admit that ba///kugo/u is a piss baby who needs to get his shit straight so instead they tear into iz//uku like starving wolves

i-write-shit:

lesbiangiogio:

GOD MOOD

1zuku is a good boy and bakug0u hurt him for no other reason then to stoke his own baby ego bc 1zuku was “worthless”. that’s it. he was pointlessly cruel!!!

and then they make au’s where by some contrived circumstances 1zuku was in the wrong or BULLSHIT ‘villain d3ku’ au’s and it’s!!! dumb

Not TDBK related, but people legit try to blame a lot of stuff on Izuku, not even just in terms of shipping. I had a conversation with someone and they legit tried to rationalize that it was somehow Izuku’s fault for “making Bakugou worse” by not telling him about his Quirk. Their exact words were:

“I also kinda blame Izuku for making Bakugou become much worse. Mainly because, well, I’d be pissed too if someone I used to be friends suddenly got a quirk that pretty much came outta nowhere, when I knew they were quirkless all my life. Which would kind of lead me to believe that they were being fake the entirety of our friendship. But I understand Izuku’s reasoning for not telling Bakugou what was going on, so I kinda don’t blame him, but I also do.”

😐😐😐😐Like, HOW?!???!

inatodomutual:

“Bakugou changed he grew up a lot and is redeeming himself”

Things bakugou did to actually redeem himself after bullying izuku for years, using todoroki’s history of abuse against him for their fight, acting like a piece of shit in general

– ???

– idk he gave kirishima money i guess

Honestly? I don’t want to hear “b@kugou has character development” until he fucking apologizes to lzuku for the years of bullying and gets the fuck away from him for like, forever

lesbiangiogio:

YEAH

like…..d3ku vs k@@chan part 2 just tanked any semblance of hope i had for a good character/redemption arc for bakug0u its such a SHIT confrontation and im just supposed to?? buy?? it??? god i hate that shitty little boy

i don’t understand the baku love and i feel like im only one who actually doesnt like baku///go cause he’s such a narcissistic assbrat and he literally told izuku to like go khs and bully him for no reason smh

lesbiangiogio:

i think he’s a fairly interesting and well rounded character for some of the same reasons uhhhh (and i hate u snake for putting this thought in my head) vriska is an interesting character but he’s such a FUCK and imo i don’t think he’s ever going to feel the need to apologize to izuku for his….horrendous behavior most of their childhoods

anyway personally i care much much more about almost every character but him lmao

gaysandprincess:

okay but it’s okay for me not to like the character who in his opening scene tells someone to kill themself, right? because sometimes i feel like anyone who slightly suggests ba//kugo isn’t actually all that and despite his struggles is still a bully gets ripped to pieces by the fandom but like ?? to me at least he reeks of entitlement and i don’t think there’s an excuse to take your anger out on other people in the way he does. don’t get me wrong i’d love to see him growing and channelling his anger in a healthy way in canon and some of his new friendships built on equal footing rather than hero worship (as his childhood friends were) are so interesting and i feel in the end will be what truly helps him, but as the power driven entitled bully he is now i just can’t like him and i don’t understand how he beat de//ku in the popularity pole at all.
