I love how Ron and Hermione exhibit certain traits of Lily and James. You have Ron, a pureblood who can be a bit of a git sometimes but would lay down his life for the people he cares about and is almost more offended by the treatment of muggle-borns than the muggle-borns themselves (not unlike James). And then there’s Hermione, a brilliantly talented muggle-born who isn’t afraid to stand up for herself (remember when she slapped Malfoy?) or to stick up for people she thinks are being treated unfairly (remember S.P.E.W.? Remember how Lily stuck up for Snape when James picked on him?)
And really, when you think about it, Ron and Hermione were the ones who raised Harry, in a way. They are the ones who are there with him from the beginning of his Hogwarts journey, until the very end. They’re there for him through his successes and through his failures and they are the ones who truly teach him what it means to be loyal, to be brave, to be good. Yes, Harry had other role models, but just think for a second what it would have been like if he didn’t have Ron to exemplify loyalty, the value of friendship, and the importance of admitting you fucked up and saying sorry. What it would have been like if he didn’t have Hermione to constantly nag him into doing his school work and reminding him (when he needed it) that the world didn’t revolve around him. Harry lost Lily and James, but he found Hermione and Ron, who unknowingly stepped into the role of Harry’s guardians.
“Remus, always the underdog’s friend, was kind to short and rather slow Peter Pettigrew, a fellow Gryffindor, whom James and Sirius might not have thought worthy of their attention without Remus’s persuasion. Soon, these four became inseparable.” —via Pottermore
Just a reminder that Remus was the one who initially befriended Peter, because he knew what it felt like to be the underdog and didn’t want anyone else to suffer like he did.
Just a reminder that when Peter sold out to Voldemort, not only did he betray James and Lily and their son, and Sirius, who everyone believed to be their secret keeper, he also deprived Remus, the one person who thought to befriend him at Hogwarts, of the only people in the world he cared about.
Just a reminder that Remus probably blamed himself for Lily and James’ death just as much, if not more than Sirius did.

Ok this paragraph fucks me up every single time. Here’s a boy who knows so little about his parents and who has had so little exposure to stable, loving relationships that when he sees proof that his parents didn’t always get along one of his first thoughts was that his dad forced his mum into marriage. How heartbreaking is that? Harry doesn’t know his parents well enough to understand how they came to be together. He has never seen his parents be in a loving relationship and so all it takes is a five minute glimpse for him to question EVERYTHING. Excuse me while I go cry for three years.

tiny small bisexual harry having a crush on oliver wood and 100% not realising it cause he never really consider himself bi at the age of 11, but many years later he runs into oliver somewhere just to realise “jesus fuck is that what that was??”
Thank you Cursed Child for confirming what we knew all along: that Draco was acting out for years because he was angry, hurt and jealous of the friendship Harry had with other people.
Thank you Cursed Child for having Draco and Harry finally sit down and grow up and realise that they actually can be friends now, that it isn’t too late for them to make amends.
Thank you Cursed Child for having Draco smile gratefully at Harry, show concern for him and finally call Harry a hero.
Just thank you Cursed Child for developing this relationship. I’m not saying you were perfect but you did a good job on this.
