SO many of naruto’s actions that exemplify the depth of his emotions for sasuke are unknown by sasuke himself. sasuke didn’t see naruto lose control of the kyuubi during the haku fight or with orochimaru because of him, didn’t see naruto have a panic attack for him, didn’t see naruto cry for him, didn’t see naruto beg for his life to be spared, didn’t see that naruto spent every waking moment thinking about him. so many of these moments are missed by sasuke who, when asked why naruto would go so far for him, was given “because you’re my friend” which is wholly insufficient for the amount of emotion naruto puts into his pursuit of sasuke.
