“Remus, always the underdog’s friend, was kind to short and rather slow Peter Pettigrew, a fellow Gryffindor, whom James and Sirius might not have thought worthy of their attention without Remus’s persuasion. Soon, these four became inseparable.” —via Pottermore

Just a reminder that Remus was the one who initially befriended Peter, because he knew what it felt like to be the underdog and didn’t want anyone else to suffer like he did.

Just a reminder that when Peter sold out to Voldemort, not only did he betray James and Lily and their son, and Sirius, who everyone believed to be their secret keeper, he also deprived Remus, the one person who thought to befriend him at Hogwarts, of the only people in the world he cared about.

Just a reminder that Remus probably blamed himself for Lily and James’ death just as much, if not more than Sirius did.
