(Cont) but also the Castle at full strength, the Jagers and the people
of Mechanicsburg. I can definitely see Geisterdamen throughout the years
attempting to infiltrate Mechanicsburg to kidnap their Holy Child, but
failing each time. This is when Tarvek steps in.That is a very good point. Yeah, I didn’t think Barry would feel the locket would be necessary, and even if he did, I’m not sure Mechanicsburg would let him. He might be their Heterodyne, but I headcanon (thank you Well Met At Mechanicsburg) that Agatha takes precedent as The Heterodyne, because she’s the first born of the first born, whereas Barry was Saturnus’s second child.*
But the idea of the Geisterdamen constantly trying to infiltrate Mechanicsburg and failing is a great one. Especially because it adds a dimension to Tarvek and Agatha’s first meeting, where Tarvek knows exactly who she is to his Geistermums and straight away decides to try and get into her good graces to woo her away from her Jager guards. It doesn’t work at the time, but he does get an invite (demand) to Mechanicsburg, so he lets Eotain and Shrdlu know what he’s doing, and goes. I do like that idea ^_^
*IDEA: This could actually make a really interesting dynamic later on, because Agatha would be technically old enough to take her place as The Heterodyne at the beginning of the story, but I can imagine that she and Barry would agree that he could stay in charge while she leanred over his shoulder for a few years. And then they fall out over Tarvek, and Agatha isn’t quite mad enough to actually snatch Mechanicsburg out from under her Uncle, but when Barry says ‘feel free to use lethal force’ and Agatha says ‘I want Tarvek alive, and I don’t care what my Uncle says’, I bet the Jagers would listen to Agatha over Barry, but they’d feel really awkward about it.
