my headcanons re: class 1a friendgroup dynamics are….a lot. izuku’s best friends are iida and ochako, the outer-senshi dekusquad includes todoroki shinsou tsuyu and aoyama as far as people _izuku_ is very close too goes. tsuyu is dating ochako. the iida-todoroki-midoriya best friendgroup is well defined. shinsou and izuku share a “used to get the shit kicked out of us in middle school behind the gym” unbreakable bond. 

kirishima is best friends with everyone but is most closely alligned with mina’s best friendgroup, which is kaminari – kirishima – sero – her – and bakugou, who is only really kirishima’s best friend but they all tolerate because hes kind of funny when he blows up. all of these people besides mina and kirishima are straight, mina gains minimal taste somewhere in third year and cuts kaminari and bakugou out of her life entirely around third year, choosing to hang out more with the 1a lesbians. sero is allowed to stay because sero is straight but an ally. 

all of the girls in 1a like each other, and most of them (mina yaomomo ochako tsuyu and jirou) are lesbians. hagakure isnt a lesbian but got alone swimmingly with everyone until it was revealed she was spying on all of them for the league of villains. straight girls really are the worst. 

all the kids with obvious mutations (tsuyu ojirou koda shoji and tokoyami) are in a loose coalition of friends and have their own groupchat. tokoyami and shoji are best friends and closer to each other then anyone else in the class, although aoyama (who was previously very isolated from pretty much any class member but izuku) eventually slots himself into the dynamic, which absolutely no one saw coming. 

the koda-jirou friend dynamic is well documented. theyre buds! koda is very shy so he doesn’t open himself up a lot and jirou respects his boundaries. he hangs out with her and momo a lot.  

i forget about sugarboy a lot but hes still on good terms with all the girls. everyone knows hes a huge gossip and goes through peoples mail sometimes, though. 

mineta and kaminari are best friends up until mineta got himself expelled, which is canon, you guys, kaminari is a creep.
