people trying to excuse doflamingo’s actions and saying he’s the victim
Clarification:
I love Doflamingo. I love him a lot. Like, a LOT. He is an amazing villain and an overall one of my top fav characters in OP.
But he’s an asshole. He killed his father, he killed his brother, he enslaved people. He hired a scientist to torture children for his own personal gain. He shot Law with lead bullets (Like he did with his father and brother, and the lead was to mock Law basically). He forced King Riku to murder the people of his country so that that people would no longer trust him.
The list goes on and on. He’s a terrible, horrible, god awful person. If you can excuse those things and still say he is the victim and defend everything he does, then there is something wrong with you, not the people telling you you’re wrong.
I can’t believe this is still a difficult concept to understand, you can still like a character even if they are a terrible horrible person. You don’t have to defend the actions of a villain, because that’s just it. He’s a villain. He’s created to be terrible.
