Slytherins have a bad reputation for going straight to mind control – which means the Slytherins that don’t are really pissed at the ones that do.
Hufflepuff first-years are off-limits to loyalty courting. Anyone caught breaking this rule is going to face the FULL WRATH of the Hufflepuff 6th and 7th years. Mind control is forbidden – yes, all types of love potion are included in this. Anyone caught doing this is going to find themselves blacklisted for the rest of their schooling life, and maybe even afterwards. Lucrezia and some members of Tarvek’s family make mental notes not to get caught.
