I just finished 2×24 of the anime and saw your anti-Bak//ugo posts and I am LIVING, this kid literally punched Deku in the face and tried to sabotage Deku’s grades because he thought he could go toe to toe with All Might???? Nothing was more satisfying than when All Might grabbed him by the face and tossed him, there is NOTHING the author can do to make me forgive Bakugo or see him in a different light, he’s a bully and every time Deku hero-worships him, I feel sick to my stomach.

oh my sweet summer child…. if you haven’t read the manga, let me warn you now: it’ll get worse :/ And yes, bakugo’s arrogance is just one of the things about him that make me mad, and Izuku’s (and indirectly Horikoshi-sensei’s) glorification of bakugo is sickening indeed. blegh. But again… it’ll get worse. You just wait.

I gotta be honest, though, I do think that – theoretically – Horikoshi-sensei could still turn things around. I don’t think that bakugo is irredeemable. Yeah, he is a giant piece of trash – but he is not inhumane, he is not a monster. He is not so far gone that there is no turning back, you know?
There’s a character on Stranger Things who kinda starts of as a bully (def not to the extent that bakugo is one, tho)
but over the course of the first season, he changes. He realizes he was a
jerk and he not only apologizes but also takes action to make up for his
previous bad deeds.

It’s pretty amazing actually. And if bakugo were to be given this kind of character development, I could possibly start to like or at least appreciate him. But I also seriously doubt Horikoshi-sensei is planning something like this for bakugo. I think it could be nice, though. And certainly possible, right? But hell, bakugo would have to really put in work to make me forgive his abuse of Izuku. Yeah, there’s no way Horikoshi-sensei would bother writing this kind of development for him but it’d be nice imo. >.<
