I actually don’t mind negative character development, it just annoys me that no one is seeing Bakugo’s bullying AS bullying, and they keep praising how strong he is, even his biggest victim.

Characters like Best Jeanist, who call him out for what a piece of shit he is, are my fave, but they’re too far and few between. And now he’s made an approximation of friends in his class so he doesn’t even have “everyone can see what a piece of shit he is” to deal with anymore. I liked it better when everyone and their grandma was lining up to drag him.

“They have so many complicated feelings about each other” they’re not complicated, Bakugo is a bullying piece of shit and Midoriya sees the best in everyone, even the guy who torments him for no damn reason beyond his own damn ego. Yes they have a history, but that history is a bully and his victim, it’s not actually that complicated.
