Even pretending that Dave’s emotions were not among the biggest late homestuck focus points… If people are looking at the sprawling mass that the story became, even in the last few weeks, and their conclusion is that Hussie fully, definitely INTENDED to clear up the davekat question (in whatever direction), if only he’d had the space to add in a SINGLE EXTRA SENTENCE somewhere…. then I don’t know.
