but this made me kind of sad
what really strikes me is the change in posture. In the top image, Jade appears almost sulky- she is slouching, leaning one leg further ahead than the other. Her head is down, and her gaze is directed at the floor. In the bottom image, she stands tall, erect, proud. Instead of being balled into fists, her hands are open and relaxed. Her legs are aligned, showing strength, and her gaze is forward, showing determination. The stark contrast between the two images makes it seem that Jade is actively fighting her mind-control, as everything about her is out of keeping with the bottom image. She would also appear despairing if she was cognizant of what she was being forced to do- namely, betraying her dearest friends.
