My contribution: Bohemian Rhapsody. Aliens are used to music and their human crew sometimes singing along, but it’s only ever one or two of them, and often under their breath. The first time Queen comes on, however, the entire human contingent begins singing along, and the rest of the crew is not prepared. “Come now, surely you’ve seen the humans sing before.” “Yes, but this is different. They’re all doing it … in rhythm. They even sing the instrumental bits.”

space-australians:

“It must be a planetary anthem, surely? It evokes such emotion and one of you  humans referenced a ruler?”

“No, it’s just, like, a nice song?”

“…that everyone knows? Stop with the tomfoolery.”

“No, seriously, it’s not like I had to learn the words for anything. Actually, I didn’t realize I knew all the words.”
